FLOCERT releases Year in Review 2025

FLOCERT today published its Year in Review 2025, offering an overview of the organisation's performance, key achievements, and developments over the past year. The report combines selected figures, operational highlights, and perspectives from FLOCERT auditors worldwide.

"2025 was a strong year for FLOCERT in both operational performance and innovation," said Thorsten Niklas, Managing Director of FLOCERT. "As an independent certification body for Fairtrade, we conducted 3,492 audits for approximately 6,000 customers worldwide. At the same time, we expanded our Verification and Customised Sustainability services customer base, and broadened our service portfolio. These efforts contributed to total sales of EUR 21.2 million."

Key highlights of 2025 include the launch of two new services: Living Income SmartCheck, which helps companies advance fair incomes across their supply chains, and TruChain, a solution that enhances transparency by tracking product volumes and verifying that additional payments reach farmer organizations.

FLOCERT also strengthened its global auditor network during the year by hosting two in-person training conferences with 120 participants from three continents, supporting alignment and the consistent delivery of high-quality assurance services. The 2025 Year in Review features FLOCERT auditors, showcasing their dedication and motivation. Aligned with the company's corporate values,  the organisation achieved "People and Planet First" verification, further reinforcing its commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Looking ahead, FLOCERT plans to expand its service offering in 2026 to support businesses in meeting increasing supply chain due diligence requirements. This includes responding to evolving regulatory frameworks such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the forthcoming directive on Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition (EmpCo).
