If you feel that the world of Fair Trade has its very own language – do not worry! With this glossary we would like to guide you through the specific technical terms used by FLOCERT, Fairtrade International and the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).

Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP)

The term hazard analysis, including the identification of critical control points, describes a methodology to identify, evaluate and control hazards. Its original scope is food safety, but it can be broadened and applied to other (social/environmental) quality objectives.
